CHPC Teams

Being part of a team is great fun and you will be sure to make new friends and also learn from each other.  We want to build a strong team spirit encouraging our riders to help and support one another by encouraging others and being encouraged. We like everyone to have fun and to take pride in representing our pony club.

There are five levels Minis (70-75cm), Grassroots (80-85cm), Novice (90-95cm), Intermediate (100-105cm) and Open (110-115cm).

If you would like to take part in team competitions you will need to register and pay the £15 fee by March 1st (please see the link button below).  This fee goes towards covering the cost of sending the team trainers along to competitions to support our teams.  If you have any questions or are unsure what level you should be doing please get in touch.

It is a good idea to attend as many rallies as you can to take advantage of the first class training that our instructors provide. It will also enable your team trainers to assess which level you should be competing at and to help you improve on any areas of weakness, whilst also helping you to get your horses competition ready. Details of the rallies and upcoming competitions can be found on the ‘what’s on’ section of the website and reminders are publicised on the CHPC facebook page.

The Team Managers work together with the team trainers to arrange rallies throughout the year in all disciplines for all levels.

About the Competitions

Area Competitions  The Area Competitions are the main highlight in the Pony Club calendar each year, they are held in July for all three disciplines, Dressage, Show Jumping (with tack and turnout) and Eventing (Horse Trials).

Teams of four plus individuals are entered for all five levels. The winning teams with the exception of  Minis will then go through to Championships in August which are held over a few days, the Grassroots are held Regionally at Rectory Farm and the other teams are held Nationally.
